Description
Intended Audience: Local Educational Agency (LEA) staff who have an LEA or site coordinator role in the Test Operations Management System (TOMS) and are responsible for managing access to the California Educator Reporting System (CERS) for other LEA staff members. ------ To support the use of CERS, the California Department of Education in collaboration with the Sacramento County Office of Education is hosting the 2024–25 Introduction to CERS for Test Coordinators and Administrators training. This three-hour online training will include opportunities for attendees to practice using various features of CERS. Attendees can select one or both of the following training dates: • Thursday, July 25, 2024, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. • Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. During training, CERS features will be shown using the CERS Sandbox, a publicly available training tool intended to help LEA staff learn about the features of CERS in a non-secure environment. Access to the live CERS environment during the training session will not be required. This training will include a section that will focus on rostering—the process for assigning groups of students to teachers in CERS—which is necessary for providing teachers access to student results. Please note that a separate CERS training session designed specifically for teachers is also available. The teacher training will focus on using specific CERS features and resources available for teachers. Registration can be found at https://scoe.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_LqeYZgMRQxmzjLBfFiBxkg.
